Diamond + Two Settings
‘Diamond + Two Settings’ features the sharp focus and fierce brilliance of gems in my favorite style of hyperrealism to capture the effects of light through this many faceted crystal while also allowing me to play with the contours of the rarely seen setting awaiting the diamond to complete the ring. I love the kinetic energy from the participation of the viewer in this work of moving the diamond into the setting in their mind’s eye. This work represents the potential of two beautiful creations working together collaboratively to create something greater than each on their own. These times call for collaboration for continued creative solutions to many issues small and large.
